Online Class Management

Letโ€™s begin the class on master k with students.
In online classes, there are various functions such as chat, teaching materials sharing, and screen sharing. I use the necessary functions to teach the students.

Setting up the environment

1.
Set up the microphone/speaker.
2.
Set up the camera/resolution.
3.
Set the background screen. You can remove the background or blur it.
4.
Check if the camera is working properly.
5.
Click Join meeting to enter the online class.
If your network speed is slow, it is recommended to lower the resolution.

Exploring the Basic Video Screen

1.
The basic screen shows everyone's screens in the same small size.
2.
Click the left and right buttons to move to the next page.
If there are more than 16 students, you can click the left and right page buttons to see the next screen.

It is the overall class menu. There are a total of 6 functions. (1) Class timer (2) Participant list (3) Chat (4) Lesson (5) Camera screen change (Presenter appears larger) (6) Recording button

These are the basic buttons used during class. There are a total of 5 functions. (1) Turn microphone ON/OFF (2) Turn video ON/OFF (3) Turn speaker ON/OFF (4) Screen sharing (5) Whiteboard

Click the Record button to start recording. Click it again to end the recording.
Only teachers can record. The button is only available on the teacher's screen.

Menu bar(Tool bar) functionality

1.
It shows the class time. When the class ends, it changes to 'End of class'.

It shows the class participants. You can turn on/off the microphone and camera for the students. By clicking the ... button, you can turn off the microphone and video for individual students or give them whiteboard permission or force them to leave.
3.
You can chat and attach files. If a new chat message comes in, it shows 'N'.
4.
The [Lesson] tab allows you to set preview/assignments/main class/exams in advance.
Preview is shown to students before the class. Assignments/main class/exams are shown during or after the class.

Presenter mode

1.
You can switch to various screens. Presenter mode shows the presenter the largest. If all the microphones are turned off, the teacher appears.

It is the overall menu button.
3.
It is the left and right camera screen movement button. Up to 6 people appear, and if there are more than 6, you need to move to the next page.
4.
You can check your network speed.
5.
Click the Leave class button to leave the class or end the entire class. When the entire class ends, all students' online classes end.

Screen Sharing

1.
You can share various presentation materials (PDF, PPT, web pages, etc.). When you share the screen, the drawing tools appear.
2.
You can use chat. If you happen to miss it, 'N' will appear.
3.
You can zoom in and out on the screen.
4.
When the screen is enlarged, the teacher's screen appears in the bottom right corner.

Checking recording files

1.
You can view the recorded videos in the [Head Teacher's Library].
2.
You can delete or download the recorded videos.
When recording, you must remember the following: (1) Recording can be done by all teachers, but only the 'Head Teacher' can view the videos. (2) When recording in class, you must 'End' the recording. If you close or exit the browser without ending the class, the recording will not be saved. (3) After ending the recording, if the recording time is long, it takes a long time for encoding. The time shown in the video list may take a long time. (4) During screen sharing, only the screen shared by the person (teacher or student) is recorded. The faces of other people are not recorded. (5) In the normal camera screen (not screen sharing), all students are recorded. (6) Other functions such as writing tool/whiteboard/chat/quiz are not recorded. (7) Videos are automatically deleted 10 days after recording. You must download the videos you need in advance.

Using the Whiteboard

1.
You can write using the pen of the drawing tool.
2.
When the screen is enlarged, the teacher's screen appears in the bottom right corner.
Teacher cannot teach on mobile. Be sure to connect from a PC.
